Mel Allen
Born in Oldham, England in 1965, Mel Allen went on to study photography at Blackpool and Fylde College. In 1987, he moved to London for a photographer's assistant job. This position opened up a wealth of opportunity for Mel. Suddenly, he was working on location with some fantastic landscape and location photographers including Pete Seaward. Through these exciting new experiences of shooting in beautiful outdoor locations, Mel fell in love with capturing detail in glorious landscapes. Although landscape photography remains a focus, Mel has worked for a number of design and PR clients as well as shooting for advertising campaigns and company reports. His now iconic image, 'Ullswater', showcases the lake district in all its tranquil beauty. Over the years, Mel Allen has built his reputation and is now considered a prestigious location photographer in his own right.
