Born in London, abstract artist Nancy Wood initially enjoyed a successful career in industry, spending much of her spare time producing large watercolours before starting to paint abstract art full-time in 1996. Nancy creates art that fascinates, wanting the viewer to journey through the abstract patterns and colours to see something new each time they look. She is passionate about experimenting and uses pigments and paints in carefully mixed recipes to see what fresh and unique effects she can achieve. The resulting paintings are captivating and seem directly related to patterns observed throughout the natural world, microscopic or celestial. Nancy divides her time between Southampton, UK, St. Lucia in the Caribbean and the south of France.
