Philip was born in London in 1950. From 1968-69 he studied art at Waltham Forest School of Art and subsequently from 1969-73 at Hornsey College of Art, where he acquired a BA in Graphic Design. In the final year, he specialised in Screen Printing and 3D design. On leaving Art College, he worked as an assistant to the printmaker Julia Matcham producing limited editions. In 1975 Philip set up his studio to create his own and other artist limited editions. His work has been in many group shows in London and throughout the country. In subsequent years his work has encompassed painting in all mediums, 3D design and Graphic art created at his Suffolk and London-based studios.
