Simon Fairless
Born in 1962 Simon now lives and works as an artist in Windsor, Berkshire, previously working in the City of London as a head-hunter. Simon's painting has been his lifelong pursuit, and he takes his inspiration from the beauty of the English landscape, the floral form and colour. He paints primarily with acrylic on canvas using a variety of themes and styles. Despite declaring himself to not having a formal art background, Simon has very quickly established a reputation for his land and seascapes and textured, colourful abstract and pop art compositions. His emotional sense and fun personality are clearly reflective in his works. 'My paintings are representations of feelings and special places that have caught my imagination and stirred strong emotions inside me. They are about the feeling how beautiful the landscape around us is or an emotional response to people and circumstance.'
